Sieben auf einen Streich: Firmware-Updates für mehrere Surface-Geräte

So kann man sich täuschen. Als ich vorgestern über Firmware-Updates für das Surface Laptop 3 und Surface Go berichtete, tat ich das mit Worten, dass es wahrscheinlich die letzten von vielen Surface-Updates in diesem Monat sind. Doch da hatte ich die Rechnung ohne Microsoft gemacht.
Gestern kam ein Update für das Surface Pro 9 5G hinzu, und heute hagelt es noch einmal so richtig: Sieben weitere Geräte werden mit unterschiedlichem Umfang aktualisiert.
Beim Surface Pro 8 und Surface Go 3 wird ein Problem im Gerätemanager behoben, hier wurde unter Umständen ein nicht identifiziertes oder nicht verbundenes Gerät angezeigt.
Für das Surface Pro 7 und das Surface Laptop Go 2 gibt es ein Sicherheitsupdate. Details hierzu sind in den Intel Security Advisories INTEL-SA-00923, INTEL-SA-00929 und INTEL-SA-00950 dokumentiert. Die letztgenannte Sicherheitslücke wurde auch beim Surface Go 3 geschlossen.
Das Update für das Surface Pro X betrifft alle drei Modelle. Es wird ein Problem behoben, das zu einem Absturz führen kann, zudem wurde die Kompatibilität mit dem Surface Dock 2 optimiert.
Beim Surface Laptop Go und Surface Book 3 wurde der Fehler behoben, der verhinderte, dass ein DFCI-Profil (Device Firmware Configuration Interface) über Verwaltungstools wie Intune gelöscht werden konnte.
